Tis’ the Season to be Jolly or Melancholy !!?!!

Have you been busy shopping, celebrating with friends & family, or maybe just quietly cozy inside your warm home? The hustle and bustle of the winter season and the shorter, darker days can sometimes spread a certain melancholy. Perhaps you’ve even noticed a decline in your workout schedule. 

A few missed classes can add up in affecting our moods.

It not only leaves the physical body feeling like the tin man looking for his oil can, but it can also settle in as an emotional body slump. Some people report

feeling more depressed during the winter days. This is known as “Seasonal Affective Disorder”.

This is why they call it the winter time blues.

The less light we receive, the more inclined we are to sink into a hole.

We are here to remind you how important it is to be receptive to your mind and body connection.

Have I been missing out on my favorite classes because that frigid winter spell has got me frozen and unable to get back into what makes me feel so good?

How many Monday’s have come and gone since you said, “I’ll start next week?”

The best gift you can give yourself is a Barre Class on a cold winter day. When you exercise, your body releases chemicals called endorphins. These endorphins interact with the receptors in your brain that reduce the perception of pain. Endorphins also trigger a positive feeling in the body, bringing you up and out of a slump into a revitalized positive glow.
